ACTION SHIFTS TO REMODELED OLUBADAN STADIUM FOR 3SC.

ACTION SHIFTS TO OLUBADAN STADIUM FOR 3SC.

Top class action in the 84th edition of IFA League shifts to Olubadan Stadium today as Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) take on YK ABASS FC.

The match which comes up at 4pm promises to be an exciting one as YK ABASS aims to climb out of the miry clay of relegation waters.

Also on Fri, VIA ACADEMY will slug it out SOCCER AMBASSADORS at 4pm inside main bowl of Olubadan Stadium.

The pitch of the Stadium is in advanced stages of completion and the two matches would be used to "test-run" the Pitch.

Most of the 2021/22 IFA League matches were played inside the main bowl of Liberty as a result of renovation works going on at the Association's Olubadan Stadium by the State Government.

Thereafter, the soccer ruling body suspended its matches for a while as it engaged in negotiations for  Outside Liberty venue which it presently uses when the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium (Liberty) was to receive a face -lift. Meanwhile, the Association was also alternatively using the Lekan Salami Stadium for 3SC matches to allow both the Shooting Stars and its IFA League opponents be more familiar with the lush grass of Lekan Salami Stadium.

But soccer action is still on-going at the Outside Liberty pitch which may serve as venue until the last match up which the Association hopes to stage inside the main bowl of Olubadan Stadium.
Fixtures are as follows:

THURSDAY,28/04/2022

YK ABASS FC VS 3SC INT'L-4PM

FRIDAY,29/04/2022

TEAMS featuring in the matches are expected to be at the Stadium by 3pm and their number should not be more than 25 players and 5 officials.

Severe penalty awaits any team that flouts this directive.
