Excitements galore as Samson Balogun emerges as new Felele Unity Forum (FUF) president - Oluseye Ademola
Sunday 30th of October was a day to remember as felele residents trooped out in their numbers to vote for the man to sail the ship for the next one year.
The election which was held at the popular novelist and publisher, JF Odunjo house which serves as the meeting venue witnessed the emergence of the first duly elected executives.
Five aspirants purchased the form for the presidency in which Shomoye Michael stepped down during the screening process while Oluwole oluseun oladapo and Nasirudeen Temitope stepped down on election day. The election which was closely contested by two gladiators namely Samson Balogun and Akiitan Oladele was won with a narrow margin by Samson Balogun.
In the end, Samson Balogun polled 23 votes while Akiitan Oladele polled 22 votes of the total 45 eligible voters on ground.
Other positions like the vice president, Gen secretary, treasurer and welfare was contested unopposed by Muyiwa Abdulahi Adiamoh, Rasheed Adebisi adeyemi (olubadan) and Aliu Joseph (last born) respectively.
Mr Yombo Banwo and Aladejobi Yinka who are the constituted electoral body then declared the winner.
The newly elected president in his speech appreciated the elders, interim excos and all members home and abroad for the ahow of love and oneness. He also thanked his opponent for the show of sportsmanship and promised to run an all inclusive leadership as he needs the help of all to achieve success.
