The Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has finally married his fourth wife on fridat 14th of october 2022, Princess Ashley Adegoke.
According reports, this is a dream come true for Princess Ashley, who has allegedly been a long time friend of the monarch. As at from Friday October 14,, Ashely's title changed from princess to queen . The marriage rites and royal wedding rook place in Ile Ife, Osun State.
Just like the wedding of Queen Tobi Phillips, the Ooni was not in sight at the ceremony. His chiefs, the royal guards and the royal staff were there to perform the rites . Princess Ashley would be the King’s fourth wife, as he already has three queens who he married within the space of two months.
In September, Ooni married Queen Mariam into his palace as his first wife. Then, Queen Elizabeth Ogunwusi was taken in Lagos, few days after his first marriage. Tobi Phillips, was the third queen to be married to the monarch on October 9, 2022.
However, according to reports, the Ooni is set to marry two more wives . The incoming queens have been the King’s concubine before he married Queen Wuraola Otiti and Queen Noami Silekunola. According to reports , Princess Ronke, who is the soon-to-be 5th wife of the Ooni, has known the King before he became king in 2015. The London-trained lawyer is a very popular entrepreneur who shuttled between the Nigeria and UK. Her wedding to the Ooni is slated to hold three days after his 48th birthday on October 17.
Princess Temitope Adesegun, the alleged 6th wife of the Ooni, who is a divorcee and based in Lagos, would be tying the knot a few days later . She worked as the Personal Assistant to the late Secretary to the State Government, Princess Aderenle Adeniran-Ogunsanya during the Babatunde Raji Fashola led administration in lagos.
