Gospel singer, Sola Allyson, maintained that she can collaborate with anyone, regardless of their religion. She stated this in reaction to the barrage of criticisms that trailed her performance of a worship medley with actor, Lateef Adedimeji, who is a Muslim.
In an interview with Sunday Scoop, she said, “Jesus is my own perfect example. I live to uphold his essence, not religion. It’s okay to be misunderstood and not to be liked by some (people). I have been like this from the beginning; never wavering.
“As a singer and a gifted one (at that), I will still collaborate with simple-hearted people like me, regardless of the religion they practice, in spreading godly values.”
