Teslim Folarin's visit to felele, FUF President condemns outcome, raises concern - Watchtower media
Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin on Tuesday 14th of February 2023 continued his campaign in ibadan southeast local government as he bids to win the gubernatorial election in Oyo State. The gathering which was held at the late Lam-Adesina hall at felele had in attendance the gubernatorial candidate of the APC, senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, Oyo South Senatorial district candidate Bar Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, Hon Dapo Lam-Adesina, Hon Warith Alawuje and a host of others. There was huge turnout as Felele Unity Forum, Olorunsogo community, Artisans and other residents were present.
Attendees were furious and almost resorted to violence as the largesse of Five hundred thousand naira (#500,000) that was donated by the visiting candidates was however not given to the people by some unscrupulous elements suspected to be local government excos within the camp of the APC. Tobi Olayiwola who happened to be present spoke on behalf of other attendees, he claimed they left their businesses to attend but ended up regretting their actions.
The president of Felele Unity Forum, Samson A Balogun on hearing the outcome of the campaign made his displeasure known and appealed to his members that right actions will be taken. When pressed further, he described the act as ridiculous, disheartening and unacceptable.
He also noted that nothing promising is expected from candidates who make fake promises during campaign tours and most importantly those who have sycophants around them should not be expected to perform well if at all they win the election.
He then reiterate his stand that FELELE UNITY FORUM members will not be stooges to any political party and whoever sees FUF as inconsequential does so at his or her own peril.
In other news the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to be in ibadan tomorrow 15th of February to continue his campaign which was rescheduled as political campaign is gradually winding down.
