The Super Eagles' Spirit Will Bounce Back Through Him - Pastor Taribo West Anoints Victor Osimhen
Former Super Eagles defender, Taribo West has revealed that the lost spirit of the Super Eagles will be back through the impressive form of Victor Osimhen.
The former CB was on Brila FM’s breakfast show, No Holds Barred with Ifeanyi Udeze, where he tipped the Napoli Marksman to go all way and win the CAF Best Player Award Ahead of Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah.
“He is doing well, even though he still has some distance to go,” West said and was quoted by FootballLive.
“Playing in the Serie A is not easy,” he continued.
“He could be a good club player and not good for the national team, but Osimhen combines both, and if he keeps the consistency, he is not far from winning the CAF African player of the year.”
“With Salah and Mane not up to par with their standards, he (Osimhen) is ahead of them, and if he can continue to score goals, he should win it.
“With these signs, it shows that Nigerian sports can come back to reckoning, the air is clearing and the spirit will bounce back again through Osimhen in football.”
