Tinubu Orders Review Of N8,000 Conditional Cash Transfer Programme For 12 Million Poor Nigerian Households
President Bola Tinubu has ordered the review of the N8,000 conditional cash transfer programme for 12 million poor households in Nigeria.
Tinubu’s administration had proposed to disburse N8,000 monthly each to 12 million poor households for six months as part of measures to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal on Nigerians.
Amid backlash from the people over the said amount to be transferred to vulnerable households, there has been other suggestions by the people such as acquiring buses to ease mobility and reduce price.
