Breaking News: Tinuade Ladoja, Wife of Former Oyo Governor, Passes Away at 71
Tinuade Ladoja, wife of former Oyo State Governor and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja, has passed away. She died on Monday morning after a brief illness at the age of 71.
Her death was confirmed by Adeola Oloko, the media aide to former Governor Ladoja, who stated, "Yes, it is confirmed. She is dead. May God repose her soul."
A prominent figure within the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Tinuade Ladoja was a respected member of the Pastor-in-Council, the church’s highest decision-making body. The Celestial Church of Christ, Ikeja Parish 1 Cathedral, where she worshipped, expressed its grief on social media, quoting, "We submit to his will #farewell."
Olukoya Benjamin, head of the parish’s media unit, revealed that she had been taken to the hospital two days prior to her death and was reportedly in stable condition before passing away on Monday morning.
In a tribute, Victoria Omodudu, Chairperson of the CCC Women Council, expressed her sorrow, recalling her last visit to Tinuade Ladoja on October 5, 2024, when she appeared to be in good health.
Tinuade Ladoja recently celebrated her 71st birthday in April 2024, and her contributions to the church and community will be greatly missed.
