AGODI ARAROMI MARKET DISPUTE: HON. AKINTAYO SUES FOR PEACE
In an effort to prevent a breakdown of law and order, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan Northeast Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, convened a meeting with representatives of the Araromi Spare Parts Market yesterday. The market delegation was led by the President General, Alhaji Waheed Gbolagade Pele.

Accompanied by political functionaries and senior council officials, including Mr. Bamigbade (Director of Administration and Supply) and the Director of Works, Hon. Akintayo urged traders to remain calm amidst the ongoing developmental works in the market. He reassured them that the state government, under Governor Seyi Makinde, has no intention of disrupting their source of livelihood.

Addressing the traders' concerns, Hon. Akintayo tasked Alhaji Gbolagade Pele with compiling a list of affected traders. He promised that those displaced would be relocated within the market premises. He dismissed fears that traders would lose their shops upon project completion, emphasizing the government’s commitment to safeguarding their interests.

The Chairman of the Traders Association, Mr. Bayo Akintoye, expressed gratitude for Hon. Akintayo’s timely intervention. He pledged the association's full support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration and assured that no trader would obstruct the contractor’s work.

Engr. Nwankwo Chinedu, Chief Executive Officer of Tracare Global Construction, thanked the market leaders for their cooperation. He pledged to complete the project within the agreed timeframe.
Meanwhile, Hon. Akintayo used the occasion to mediate a dispute between the leadership of the Park Management System (PMS), chaired by Alhaji Taiwo Olapade of Ibadan Northeast 1, and the Araromi Spare Parts Dealers. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and order among their members.

This collaborative effort underscores the local government’s dedication to fostering unity and ensuring the smooth execution of developmental projects in the area.
