Breaking News: Ejigbo LCDA Clears Road After Years of Neglect, Residents Hail New Council Leadership Sanitation Drive
Pipeline Road in Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has been given a facelift after years of neglect, following a massive environmental sanitation exercise led by the new council chairman, Taoheed Taiwo.
The exercise, which cleared long-standing heaps of refuse that had become an eyesore and health hazard, has restored a cleaner and fresher environment to the popular road.
Images obtained by Lagos Reporters show the newly cleaned Pipeline Road, now free of the dirt and filth that had previously taken over the area. Excited residents commended the new council leadership for the intervention, describing it as timely and long overdue.
“This is a relief for us. For years, we lived with the stench and dirt, but in just a short time, the new chairman has made a difference,” a resident told Reporters.
It would be recalled that Lagos Reporters had earlier reported the deplorable state of refuse management in Ejigbo, particularly on Pipeline Road, where indiscriminate dumping posed environmental and health risks.
Barely a month into office, the new leadership has now acted on those concerns, a move residents say signals a more responsive and people-focused administration.
