As preparations intensify for the 2026 Ibadan City Outreach tagged “Hope is Here”, organisers have placed strong emphasis on free medical checks as a core pillar of the life-impacting programme set to hold in Ibadan.
The outreach, led by Pastor Ayodeji Adesina of Blessed Hope SDA Church, UK, is not only designed to deliver spiritual revival but also to promote healthy living and preventive healthcare among residents.
Scheduled to take place from Thursday, 26th to Saturday, 28th March 2026, the programme will be hosted at the Iyana Church Seventh Day Adventist Church, Irepodun Street, Ibadan, Oyo State.
A major highlight of the first two days (Thursday and Friday) will be the Free Medical Checks, which will commence daily from 11:00am, offering participants the opportunity to assess their health status at no cost.
Speaking on the importance of the initiative, Pastor Ayodeji Adesina stressed that caring for the body is a vital part of God’s plan for humanity.
“Health is one of the greatest gifts God has given to mankind. Through these free medical checks, we are not just treating people, we are helping them understand their bodies and take responsibility for their well-being.”
He further emphasised that early detection and awareness remain key to a healthier society.
“Many people walk around unaware of underlying health conditions. This outreach is an opportunity to detect, prevent, and guide people towards healthier living. A healthy body allows us to serve God and humanity better.”
Pastor Adesina also highlighted the church’s commitment to holistic care, addressing both physical and spiritual needs.
“We believe healing is complete when both the body and the soul are cared for. That is why we are combining medical outreach with messages of hope so lives can be transformed entirely.”
Beyond the medical outreach, the event will feature Bible Study sessions at 3:00pm and Evening Services at 4:30pm on Thursday and Friday, creating a balanced programme of health and spirituality.
The programme will culminate on Saturday, 28th March, with a Morning Service at 9:30am and an Afternoon Concert at 2:30pm, with gospel ministers Tobi Sax and Banji Fadehan set to uplift attendees through music.
With its focus on free healthcare access, awareness, and spiritual renewal, the “Hope is Here 2026” crusade is poised to make a meaningful impact reminding the people of Ibadan that true hope begins with a healthy life and a renewed spirit.
