“You Lied, Charge My Father to Court, Prove He’s a Thief” – El-Rufai’s Son Dares ICPC
The son of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has challenged the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to take his father to court if it has evidence of wrongdoing.
In a strongly worded statement shared on social media, the former governor’s son accused the anti-graft agency of making unsubstantiated claims and dared it to initiate legal proceedings instead of engaging in what he described as “public insinuations.”
“If you have evidence that my father is a thief, charge him to court and prove it,” he wrote.
The remarks followed recent reports suggesting that the ICPC was investigating alleged financial irregularities linked to the administration of El-Rufai during his tenure as Kaduna State governor.
