KUSO Mourns PDP Exco, Balquis, Describes Death as Shocking Loss
The leading Chairmanship aspirant for Ibarapa East Local Government in the 2026 elections, Hon. Abdul Akeem Akintola, popularly known as KUSO, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of a prominent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in the area, Late Mrs. Akintola Balquis.
Balquis, until her demise, was a serving Auditor and a key member of the PDP executive in Ibarapa East Local Government. She reportedly passed away on Thursday evening after a brief illness, a development that has thrown party members and the local community into mourning.
Her death, which came as a rude shock to many, has been described as a painful and significant loss, particularly to the PDP family in Ibarapa East, where she was widely known for her dedication, loyalty, and active participation in party affairs.
In a condolence message, Hon. Akintola lamented the untimely passing of the deceased, noting that she was a committed party woman who contributed immensely to the growth and stability of the PDP at the grassroots level. He added that her role as a two-term representative from Ward 10, Itabo in Lanlate, stood as a testament to the trust and confidence reposed in her by the people.
He further described the late Balquis as a vibrant and dependable figure whose passion for service and unwavering loyalty to the party would be greatly missed.
“This is indeed a painful and unfortunate loss, not only to her immediate family but to the entire PDP structure in Ibarapa East. She was a woman of strength, commitment, and integrity, always ready to serve and support the progress of the party,” he said.
Hon. Akintola prayed for the repose of her soul, asking Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Al-Jannah Firdaus. He also extended his heartfelt condolences to her children, family members, and associates, urging them to take solace in the impactful life she lived.
Party members across the local government have continued to express grief over her passing, describing her as a grassroots mobilizer and a dependable ally whose absence will be deeply felt in the political landscape of the area.
