SABA’s Legacy Shines as Community Leaders Hail Ex-Chair
Hon. Musibau Adesina Sanusi, a leading aspirant for the Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has been described as a legend and pace setter in the political and administrative history of Ona Ara Local Government.

The commendation came during a well-attended event marking the formal presentation and recognition of land acquired for the development of the council at Jigan, along Olohunda, a project widely attributed to the foresight and leadership of the former council chairman.

Hon. Sanusi, popularly known as SABA, served as the immediate past chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, where he was credited with initiating and executing several landmark projects. Among these, stakeholders highlighted the lawful acquisition of land for the council at Jigan as a major breakthrough that has positioned the local government for future growth and infrastructural expansion.

The event, which drew traditional rulers, community leaders, elders, and youths under the umbrella of the Ona Ara Development Forum (ODF), turned into a celebration of SABA’s legacy, as attendees openly expressed appreciation for his contributions to grassroots development.

In a show of admiration, participants took turns to commend, celebrate, and pray for the former chairman, describing his tenure as one that brought vision, structure, and tangible progress to the council.

Speaking at the gathering, the President of the Ona Ara Development Forum, Elder Kola Bolomope, acknowledged the significance of the land acquisition, noting that it remains a strategic asset for the future development of the local government.

Also present at the event were notable figures including former Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Taiwo Oke; community leaders such as Alhaja Repete, Alawode Raman, and Pa Odeyale, among others, all of whom aligned in their praise of SABA’s leadership style and achievements.

The atmosphere was filled with songs of appreciation and goodwill messages, as stakeholders described the former chairman as a leader whose impact continues to resonate beyond his time in office.
Observers say the recognition further strengthens SABA’s political profile ahead of the 2027 general elections, where he is seeking to represent Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency under the ADC platform.

With growing grassroots support and endorsements from key stakeholders, political watchers believe that Hon. Sanusi’s track record in local governance may play a decisive role in shaping his electoral prospects.

The event concluded with renewed calls for sustained development in Ona Ara, as community leaders urged political actors to emulate the standard of leadership demonstrated during SABA’s administration.
