WE SHOULD BE TALKING ABOUT ASUU STRIKE
If you are a student, posting about ASUU strike and the closure of Nigerian Universities for several months should be the first thing, if not the only thing you should be posting about. Your future should matter to you.
If you are a parent, you should be posting about ASUU strike as well. The future matters.
If you are a politician or a political leader, let us all come to the clear understanding that issuing warnings to ASUU will get nothing done. Warnings, threats, intimidation and coercion don’t work on intellectuals, you come to the table with superior arguments and douse the tension with offers and counter offers until issues are resolved. That, my friends, is the way it is done. Plus, There is NO progressive nation which tolerates its future being on lockdown for any reason, for a prolonged period. In case you’ve not observed, despite the war in Ukraine, where students can’t attend school physically, there are provisions for online academic work where possible. Think about that!
The lockdown of Nigerian universities is not funny at all in any way.
As I always pray, May God uplift Nigeria….
