Emefiele: DSS action a dent on govt, punish operaties – Fayose to Tinubu
A former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has urged President Bola Tinubu to curb the excesses of the Department of State Services, DSS.
Fayose said operatives of the DSS involved in the fight with their counterpart from the Nigeria Correctional Services after the arraignment of former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele, should be made to face justice.
He noted that the action of the DSS was affecting Tinubu’s administration, hence the erring operatives should be dwelt with.
DSS operatives and prison officers had a face-off after Emefiele’s arraignment at the Federal High Court in Lagos.
The fight broke out as DSS forcefully grabbed him from prison officers back into their custody.
The court had granted Emefiele N20 million bail.
Reacting to the face-off, Fayose said Tinubu should act against the power-drunk DSS operatives.
