14-year-old survives as a reckless driver crushes family of five to death in Imo
A 14-year-old girl has reportedly survived a fatal accid£nt which claimed the lives of her parents, two siblings and their house-help in Owerri, Imo state.
It was gathered that the family was cr¥shed to d£ath by a reckless driver on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
The family of five was riding on two separate motorcycles when a vehicle which lost control r@mmed into them. The man and his wife di£d on the spot while their house girl and two sons later di£d in a hospital.
Prince Mekoyor, a neighbour to the accident victims, who spoke to journalists said: “The ugly incident happened on Wednesday along Maternity Road junction Nekede while they were returning home on the family windy motorcycle.
Arthur was riding on the family windy with his wife and the last born when a young boy carrying RX 330 Lexus lost control of his vehicle and r@mmed into them.
The news of Arthur’s d£ath and his family is most saddening. It was very tragic that only the little baby survived it while the rest di£d.
Arthur has only one hand and was to represent Nigeria in a disabled badminton competition in the USA on August 14. He runs a restaurant with his family at Polytechnic junction Owerri. He is my neighbour at Wethral road Owerri. I can’t bear this pain.”
TheCable reports that a motorcyclist who was riding in the same lane at the time of the accident was also k#lled.
