Lagos Arrests Touts Extorting N100 from People Using Yaba Pedestrian Bridge
The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps has arrested troublemakers who were extorting money from Lagos residents on a pedestrian bridge in Yaba.
Commissioner of the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, shared this information in a video on Thursday, March 21, via his social media account.
Wahab stated, "After a video showing some troublemakers extorting money from traders and other Lagos residents on a pedestrian bridge in Yaba went viral, I directed the Corps Marshal of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps #LAGESCOfficial to promptly detain those involved, including the officer.
They will face immediate court proceedings, and efforts to apprehend those who are on the run will continue."
