Kano: APC Suspends Ganduje Over Alleged Corruption
The All Progressives Congress Ganduje ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government, Kano State has taken the immediate step of suspending Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the party's National chairman.
The party's legal adviser at Ganduje ward, Haladu Gwanjo, made the announcement regarding the suspension of the National Chairman during a press conference held in Kano on Monday.
Gwanjo stated that Dr. Ganduje's suspension from the party is a result of bribery and financial misconduct allegations against him by the Kano state Government.
The decision to suspend Dr. Ganduje's party membership was made after a vote of no confidence was passed on him by members due to his failure to address the various corruption accusations leveled against him. These allegations include the controversial videos showing him purportedly receiving bribes from contractors in dollars.
The suspension officially begins today, April 15th.
