Governor Sanwo-olu Launches 270 Two-Bedroom Units at Egan-Igando Estate
In a bid to address the housing shortage in Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu recently inaugurated 270 units of two-bedroom flats at the Egan-Igando Mixed Housing Estate, located in the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area. This significant milestone marked the completion of Cluster One, which is part of the proposed 101 blocks encompassing 846 home units on a sprawling 17.358-hectare land area in the Ikeja Division.
During the unveiling ceremony, Governor Sanwo-olu reiterated his commitment to the project, emphasizing the provision of decent accommodation for suburban dwellers. He assured residents that Clusters Two and Three of the estate would be finalized soon, extending the benefits to even more individuals, regardless of their background.
In his speech, the governor stressed the importance of community involvement in safeguarding the newly inaugurated housing units from vandalism. Recognizing the urgent need for affordable housing solutions, Governor Sanwo-olu also revealed plans to collaborate with the private sector in developing additional housing estates across Lagos State.
