Group Distributes Free Education Materials to School Pupils to Foster Educational Development in Oyo State.
In her efforts to contribute to the development of Education in Oyo state and in support of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 4 of the United Nations, THE NOBLEMEN HELPING HANDS FOUNDATION a non-profit and non-governmental organization under the chairmanship of Habeeb Olanrewaju Giwa, Esq. distributed free educational materials to students of Oba Akinbiyi Model College, Coca Cola area, Mokola Ibadan.
The distribution, which cuts across JSS 1 - SS 3 benefited hundreds of pupils from Oba Akinbiyi Model College Coca Cola area, Mokola Ibadan. This event is part of the activities to commemorate the organization’s regular Education Support Inclusivity project in connection to Sustainable Development Goals.
In a statement by the Chairman THE NOBLEMEN HELPING HANDS FOUNDATION, he described Education as a fundamental human right, essential for the exercise of all other rights. It's a powerful tool for personal and social development, enabling individuals to acquire knowledge, skills, and values necessary to participate fully in their communities and contribute to the global economy, he made it known that it's a must to prioritize education in our personal, community, and national development agendas. This requires investing in education infrastructure, training teachers, and providing resources and support to students.
According to him, To promote quality education and ensure equal opportunities for all, we should:
1. Prioritize Education: Integrate education into personal, community, and national agendas by investing in infrastructure, teacher training, and student resources.
2. Address Inequalities: Tackle barriers like poverty, discrimination, and exclusion while implementing inclusive and equitable policies.
3. Promote Lifelong Learning: Support vocational, technical, online, and distance learning opportunities for continuous skill development.
4. Ensure Accountability: Advocate for inclusive and equitable education policies and support initiatives that promote excellence and lifelong learning.
Reacting to the distribution of the free educational materials, the Principal of Oba Akinbiyi Model College, Mrs. Animashaun expressed gratitude to THE NOBLEMEN HELPING HANDS FOUNDATION for their kind gestures and contributions to the growth of education in the Pace Setter State and beyond. The principal also urged other well-meaning Nigerians to contribute their efforts toward achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
In attendance were the principal of the school, Mrs. Animashahun, the vice principals, other teachers, and representatives from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, including committee members of NOBLEMEN HELPING HANDS FOUNDATION :

Highlighting the factors contributing to the increase in out-of-school children across the country, Mrs. Animashahun remarked that “Beyond conflict, gender disparities, attacks on education, distance to schools, child labor, and child marriage, poverty alone accounts for more than half of the reasons why parents struggle to enroll and sustain their children in school.”
She urged the government to prioritize initiatives that ensure children remain in school while implementing strategies to boost enrollment.
The Chairman, Habeeb Giwa, Esq., further stated that this phase of the distribution exercise positively impacted hundreds of pupils and reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to increasing the number of beneficiaries in subsequent phases.
