CAF WCL: Bayelsa Queens to face Ghana’s Police Ladies in WAFU B Qualifiers
Former CAF Women’s Champions League bronze medallists, Bayelsa Queens, have been drawn into Group B of the 2025 WAFU Zone B qualifiers, where they will rekindle a historic rivalry with Ghanaian opposition, this time facing league debutants, Police Ladies, in Côte d’Ivoire.
The draw, conducted yesterday in Côte d’Ivoire, places the Nigerian champions alongside Police Ladies (Ghana), Association Sportive de La Kozah (Togo), and Sam Nelly FC (Benin Republic) in what promises to be a fiercely contested group.
The 2025 WAFU-B qualifiers are scheduled to run from August 23 to September 4 in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire. With only one qualification spot available for the main tournament, the “Restoration Girls” will be aiming to repeat their 2022 dominance and make another strong statement on the continental stage.
Also drawn in Group A are host club Asec Mimosa (Cote d’Ivoire), AS Garde Nationale (Niger Republic), and USFA (Burkina Faso).
