Gov. Soludo Declares Emergency Works On Iyiowa Community Road, School
Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo has directed emergency works on roads cris-crossing Iyiowa Odekpe community in Ogbaru Council Area of the State, as well as the reconstruction of the community's primary school ravaged by flood.
Governor Soludo who was on a visit to the area, expressed worries about the plight of the people, directing immediate construction works to remedy the challenges faced by the people.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo who accompanied on the visit by the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Somtochukwu Udeze, on an inspection tour of Iyiowa Community to have a first hand feel of the deplorable condition of roads in the area, and the flooding challenges faced by the residents who are predominantly farmers.
The locals on sighting Governor Soludo surged in their numbers to welcome him - a visit that has brought goodies to the locality and residents.

Some of the locals told AIT of their daily plights navigating through the roads, coupled with the perennial FLOODINGS that have destroyed their homes, farmlands and sources of livelihoods.
They're however full of praises to Governor Soludo for the visit, and promise to fix the roads, reconstruct their school and address the flooding problem - an intervention never seen by people of the area from previous governments.
For Governor Soludo, the State of infrastructure in the Iyiowa community is disturbing, prompting his declaration of emergency works on roads and drainage systems.
The community Primary School, Iyiowa I, II, III which the Governor himself described as an eyesore is to receive immediate attention, just as the challenge of flooding is to be tackled head-on.
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Somtochukwu Udeze, at a reception in honour of the Governor by the Community, lauded the Governor Soludo's achievements so far, while appealing to the people of Iyiowa Odekpe for patience.
Governor Soludo used the occasion to announce an end to graduation ceremonies at Nursery, Primary and Junior secondary school levels, as well as multiple fees charged by school authorities. Also, the reintroduction of reusable textbooks for pupils and students in public schools of the State.
