Shooting Stars Grab First Away Win with Dramatic Comeback Against Warri Wolves

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) stunned fans with a spirited late comeback to secure their first away victory of the season, edging Warri Wolves 2–1 in a thrilling NPFL encounter on Sunday.

The Oluyole Warriors, who had endured a shaky start to the campaign under newly appointed coach Nurudeen Aweroro, showed resilience and character after falling behind 1–0. With several new faces still gelling into the squad, many thought the Ibadan-based side would once again leave empty-handed.

But in the 82nd minute, Qamar Adegoke sparked life into the contest, slotting home the equalizer to level the scores. Just seven minutes later, Adams Mustapha completed the turnaround in the 89th minute, silencing the home fans as Shooting Stars celebrated a dramatic comeback.

The result marks 3SC’s second win of the season and their first away triumph, coming at a crucial time as Coach Aweroro continues to shape his side’s identity.

From trailing to victory in just under 10 minutes, the Oluyole Warriors reminded the league why their fighting spirit is never in doubt.

Full-time: Warri Wolves 1–2 Shooting Stars
Scorers: Qamar Adegoke (82’), Adams Mustapha (89’)

Up Shooting!
