‎Breaking: Dominion Broadcast FC Defeats FRSC in Ongoing Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi Football Competition
‎Dominion Broadcast Group FC, Iyaganku, Ibadan, on Saturday secured a thrilling 3–2 victory over the formidable FRCN Football Team in the ongoing Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi/SWAN 5-A-Side Football Competition.
‎The match, widely anticipated by football enthusiasts across the state, lived up to its billing with nonstop energy and breathtaking moments.
‎The fierce encounter, held at the historic Olubadan Stadium, drew an impressive crowd of supporters, journalists, and football lovers who remained glued to the action from kickoff to the final whistle.
‎The atmosphere was electric, echoing chants, drums, and roars of excitement from spectators who witnessed one of the tournament’s most dramatic clashes.
‎Jonathan, popularly known as the King of the Pitch was the undisputed star of the day as he registered two brilliant goals. His swift dribbles, sharp instincts, and relentless pressure kept the Radio Nigeria defenders constantly on their toes, earning him loud cheers each time he touched the ball.
‎Samuel added to Dominion FC’s dominance with a thunderous strike inside the box, firing a bullet that completely destabilized Radio Nigeria’s defense. His goal, celebrated with a wild eruption from the stands, proved to be the turning point that lifted the team’s morale and momentum.
‎Beyond the goals, the collective performance from the team was nothing short of outstanding. Shittu Money, Samson The Daybreak Timekeeper, Asho the Co-Debater, Dr. Amos Gajigaji of MCR, Adelu The Vision Promoter, and other key players formed a formidable wall of skill, strategy, and determination.
‎Their synergy on the pitch resembled a firing squad, overwhelming Radio Nigeria FC and leaving their opponents scrambling for solutions.
‎Radio Nigeria FC, however, did not go down without a fight. They mounted several counterattacks and managed to slot in two goals of their own, keeping the tension alive until late in the match.
‎With the hard-fought victory, Dominion FC officially booked their spot in the quarterfinals.
‎Yet fortune smiled further on the team as reports confirmed the withdrawal of their next scheduled opponent, a development that automatically propelled DBFC into the semifinals without contest.
‎As Dominion FC prepares for the semifinal stage, the squad is riding on confidence, teamwork, and the overwhelming support of their fans.
‎With momentum firmly on their side, many now believe the team is a strong contender for the championship title in this year’s Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi/SWAN 5-A-Side Competition.
