“Cheating Is Not a Dealbreaker for Me; I Even Started a Prayer Group to Pray for Our Husbands” — Toyosi Etim-Effiong
Toyosi Etim-Effiong, wife of Nollywood actor Daniel Etim-Effiong, has shared her candid views on marriage and infidelity, saying cheating is not a dealbreaker for her.
Speaking on the Toke Moments podcast, Toyosi revealed that rather than walk away from a marriage over infidelity, she chooses faith and spiritual backing as a coping and protective mechanism. According to her, she even set up a prayer platform known as the Wives of Entertainers Prayer Group.
“Cheating is not a dealbreaker for me. I even created a prayer group, Wives of Entertainers Prayer Group, to pray for our husbands so that Jezebels will not carry them,” she said.
Toyosi explained that her approach is rooted in faith, forgiveness, and a commitment to preserving the family unit, especially within the unique pressures that come with being married to an entertainer.
She further stressed that sustaining a successful marriage requires love, patience, resilience, and intentional communication, noting that couples must be willing to work through challenges rather than abandon the union at the first sign of trouble.
Her remarks have since generated widespread reactions online, sparking conversations around infidelity, forgiveness, and the role of faith in navigating marital challenges, with many describing her stance as unconventional yet thought-provoking.
