Gospel record label, Hope4Real Music has unveiled plans to launch a new talent discovery initiative tagged “Street2Stage,” aimed at identifying and nurturing raw singing talents across Ibadan and Oyo State.
In a statement signed on Wednesday by the label’s Media and Publicity Manager, Olusola Alabi, the Chief Executive Officer of the label, Pastor Ayodeji Adesina, explained that the programme is designed to discover young and promising male and female singers, particularly within tertiary institutions and churches.
“We have a lot of young, talented male and female singers among us who can do exceptionally well if given access to the right platform,” Pastor Adesina said. “There are many of them in tertiary institutions and churches, and the best way to discover them is through this Street2Stage talent discovery programme.”
He further revealed that the label’s representatives will embark on outreach visits to schools and churches as part of the selection process.
“Our representatives will visit schools and churches to hold brief music sessions with youths who believe in themselves and want to showcase their abilities. From there, we will take it up and develop the most promising talents,” he added.
Pastor Adesina also commended Heads of Departments in music-related faculties across institutions and choir masters in churches for their continuous efforts in grooming young talents. He urged them to warmly receive the label’s representatives, assuring that the initiative would be beneficial to students and church members alike.
He concluded by announcing that the Street2Stage discovery initiative will commence soon and encouraged the general public to anticipate impactful outcomes from the initiative as Hope4Real Music continues its mission to spread the gospel through music.
