Kano Govt to Supporters: Don’t Insult Kwankwaso
The Kano State Government has cautioned supporters of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf against engaging in insults or inflammatory remarks about Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, even as the state’s politics undergo significant realignments.
The warning was issued on Saturday by the Director-General, Media and Publicity at Government House, Bature Tofa, during a motorcycle distribution event at the Open Space Theatre of the Government House in Kano.
“To be clear, we will not tolerate indiscipline or insults against the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Anybody who engages in such behaviour will face the consequences,” Tofa said, urging supporters to show restraint and political maturity.

The appeal for restraint comes amid heightened political tensions following Governor Yusuf’s recent decision to resign from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) — a party where Kwankwaso’s influence has long been strong in Kano State.
