Oyo Gubernatorial Hopeful Barrister Niyi Aborisade, Extends Warm New Year Wishes to Oyo State Residents
Oyo State gubernatorial hopeful, Barrister Niyi Aborisade, has extended New Year greetings to the people of Oyo State, calling for unity, hope and renewed commitment to the progress of the state.
In a New Year message released on Wednesday, Aborisade, who recently moved from the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), praised residents for their resilience in the face of economic and social challenges and urged them to remain optimistic in the new year.
The governorship hopeful described the New Year as a period for reflection and renewal, stressing the need for people-centred leadership and collective responsibility in governance.
“As we step into a new year, I wish the good people of Oyo State peace, good health and abundant opportunities. This is a time to renew our hope and strengthen our resolve to build a better Oyo State for all,” he said.
Aborisade encouraged citizens to embrace peace, tolerance and unity, noting that sustainable development could only be achieved in an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect.
He further stated that the new year should inspire leaders to prioritise the welfare of the people over personal or political interests, adding that Oyo State possesses enormous potential in agriculture, youth empowerment and small business development.
The ADC member also advised youths to remain law-abiding and productive, while calling on traditional rulers, community leaders and other stakeholders to continue promoting peace and dialogue across the state.
He concluded by praying for a peaceful and prosperous year for Oyo State and Nigeria, expressing confidence that the state’s future remains bright under purposeful leadership.
