Fayose Accused of Spreading Falsehood in Article on Atiku, Makinde

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has been accused of fabricating claims in a recent article concerning former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.

A political group aligned with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) made the allegation on Tuesday, describing Fayose’s claims as misleading and lacking factual basis.

The group said the article, which reportedly addressed internal dynamics within the PDP and the political relationship between Atiku and Makinde, was filled with distortions aimed at causing division within the party.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the group alleged that Fayose’s assertions were “deliberate falsehoods” intended to undermine key stakeholders in the party.

“We consider the publication a fabrication designed to sow discord within the PDP. The claims made against Atiku Abubakar and Governor Seyi Makinde are not only unfounded but politically motivated,” the statement read.

The group urged party members and the public to disregard the article, insisting that efforts are ongoing to strengthen unity within the PDP ahead of future political engagements.

Efforts to reach Fayose for comments were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.

The development comes amid ongoing conversations about leadership direction and alliances within the opposition party as political activities gradually intensify nationwide.
