Keyamo Directs Immediate Overhaul of Airport Gate Hybrid Payment System
Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has ordered the immediate change of the hybrid payment system currently in use at airport gates across the country.
According to a report, the directive followed complaints from passengers and motorists over delays and operational challenges associated with the payment system.
Keyamo instructed the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to urgently review and modify the system to improve efficiency and reduce congestion at airport entry and exit points.
The minister stressed that airport users should not be subjected to unnecessary delays caused by payment processes.
He also emphasised the need for a more seamless and user-friendly payment structure that would enhance the experience of passengers and visitors using Nigerian airports.
The directive is part of broader efforts by the federal government to improve service delivery and operational standards within the country’s aviation sector.
