APC Officials Denounce Ganduje’s Purported Suspension
The State Working Committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano has declared the purported suspension of the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, as unlawful and of no effect.
The Ganduje Ward of the APC in Dawakin-Tofa Local Government, Kano State, announced the suspension of Ganduje, citing corruption and other offenses, claiming he had engaged in gross misconduct and mismanagement of public funds during his tenure.
The Legal Adviser, Malam Haladu Gwanjo, representing nine executive members of the ward, announced the suspension, citing concerns that the party was being discredited by allegations of corruption. They expressed the need for Ganduje to focus on clearing his name through legal processes to safeguard his and his family's reputation.
In response, the Kano State chapter of the party took immediate action against the leaders who announced the suspension. The Dawakin-Tofa Local Government chapter of the party swiftly dismissed those involved in the suspension, accusing them of engaging in anti-party activities and collaborating with the opposition.
The State Working Committee affirmed the actions taken by the local government and announced a six-month suspension of the leaders behind the suspension of the national chairman. An investigative panel has been established to probe the allegations of disloyalty and collaboration with the opposition party.
