FG to Generate 6,000MW before End of the year

The federal Government of Nigeria through the minister of power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu says it has concluded plans to ramp up power generation to 6,000 megawatts from 4,000 megawatts by the end of the fourth quarter.

Adebayo Adelabu made this known during media engagement at his office complex in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

According to Chief Adelabu, President Bola Tinubu’s led administration is determined to break the 4,000 megawatts jinx that has spanned decades and improve upon what's on ground being the 47th minister in that ministry.

He said the ministry has generated over 5,000 megawatts of electricity in the space of 60 days which he said has been responsible for the current improved power supply.

Chief Adelabu said all power electricity distribution companies have to be more alive to their responsibilities in the interest of Nigerians.
