In a swift political development, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Thursday led members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to the Kaduna residence of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
It was gathered that the visit came just hours after prominent opposition figures — former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai — also paid a visit to the former President at the same location.
The back-to-back visits have sparked intense political speculation, particularly as the country inches closer to the 2027 general elections. Political analysts say the opposition's engagement with Buhari may be part of an early strategy to build a united front against the current administration, possibly signaling a shift in political alliances.

“Without referring to any individual, cast of characters, or issues, principles and ideals currently being discussed by Party leaders at various levels, former President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated what he’s said times without number, that he is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and would like to be addressed as a loyal member of the party.”
