Breaking News: Four Rescued as Three-Storey Building Collapses in Yaba, Search Operations Ongoing
Tragedy struck late Friday night when a three-storey building under construction collapsed at 333 Borno Street, Alagomeji, Yaba, Lagos State.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and were able to rescue four persons from the rubble, while search and rescue operations are still ongoing to ensure no one is left trapped.
Residents in the area reported hearing a loud crash shortly before midnight, sparking panic as people rushed to the scene to assist before the arrival of first responders.
As at press time, the cause of the collapse had yet to be determined, but officials say investigations are underway. Authorities have also cordoned off the site to prevent further incidents as heavy-duty equipment is deployed to aid the rescue efforts.
