Actor Ijoba Lande Alleges Assault by Police Officers After Returning from UK
Popular content creator and actor Ijoba Lande has accused police officers in Nigeria of assaulting him just days after his return from the United Kingdom.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Lande said he arrived in Nigeria six days ago before he was allegedly attacked and beaten by police officers. According to him, the officers seized his iPhone 16 Pro Max and took $1,200 belonging to his brother.
“I came back from the UK six days ago and was attacked and beaten by police in Nigeria. They collected my iPhone 16 Pro Max and my brother’s $1,200. I nearly lost my life,” he wrote.
A video accompanying the post showed the actor visibly distressed and crying in pain, with visible injuries, as friends around him encouraged him to report the incident at a police station.
As at the time of this report, the police authorities have not issued an official response to the allegations.
