Elege Ignites Ona Ara with Massive Youth-Driven Declaration Rally
The political atmosphere in Ona Ara State Constituency came alive on Saturday as a leading House of Assembly aspirant on the platform of the Allied Democratic Party (ADP), Hon. Sodiq Ismaeel Opeyemi, popularly known as Elege, formally declared his intention to contest in the forthcoming election.

In a symbolic display of popularity, Elege-branded shirts and caps were reportedly in high demand, with many supporters scrambling to obtain the campaign materials a development political watchers described as a strong indication of his growing acceptability among the grassroots.
Elege, visibly elated, stood atop a moving vehicle, waving to the cheering crowd and acknowledging supporters with smiles and gestures, further energizing the atmosphere.
Speaking briefly during the rally, the aspirant emphasized his commitment to youth empowerment, community development, and people-oriented representation. He noted that his ambition is driven by a desire to bridge the gap between leadership and the grassroots.
“I represent the voice of the youth and the underserved. My focus is on creating opportunities, supporting small businesses, and ensuring our people feel the impact of governance,” he said.
