A chieftain and leading chairmanship aspirant in Ibarapa East Local Government, Hon Abdul Akeem Akintola, has congratulated workers across Oyo State and Ibarapa East on the occasion of International Workers’ Day, commending their resilience and commitment to service.
In a statement issued on Thursday to mark the annual celebration, Akintola, popularly known as Kuso, described workers as the backbone of governance and economic growth, whose daily sacrifices continue to sustain communities despite economic pressures.
Kuso, who currently serves as Chairman of the Oyo State Tipper, Lorry and Quarry Park Management System, specifically appreciated members of the transport and quarry sector under his leadership, applauding their discipline, cooperation, and dedication to duty.
He noted that the success recorded within the park management system would not have been possible without the collective efforts of workers who have remained focused and committed to improving operational standards.
“I celebrate our hardworking men and women who, day in day out, ensure that our system runs smoothly. Your steadfastness, loyalty, and determination are worthy of commendation,” he said.
The chairmanship hopeful encouraged workers across the state to remain diligent and law-abiding, assuring them that their contributions would not go unnoticed in a system that values productivity and accountability.
Speaking on his political ambition, Akintola called on residents of Ibarapa East Local Government to rally behind his aspiration to become the next chairman in the 2026 local government election.
According to him, his experience in managing people and resources has equipped him with the necessary capacity to deliver purposeful leadership at the grassroots level.
“I am ready to serve our people with sincerity, transparency, and dedication. This is a call to build a better Ibarapa East together. I seek your full support and cooperation in this journey,” he stated.
Kuso emphasised that his administration, if elected, would prioritise workers’ welfare, youth empowerment, infrastructural development, and policies that would enhance local economic growth.
He further assured that his leadership would be inclusive, promising to carry along all stakeholders and ensure that governance reflects the collective interests of the people.
“I am fully prepared to serve in all ramifications, with a clear vision to uplift our local government and improve the living standard of our people,” he added.
